Police in tactical gear move into position on Webb Road.

Details are sketchy because no one from the state police was available to answer questions, so Chadds Ford Live is not going to reveal the suspect’s name, but the man was seen being taken away in handcuffs.

According to neighbors who wish to remain anonymous, shots were heard at 2 a.m. and again about 15 minutes later. Several hours later, a SWAT Team and ATF agents were on site in full tactical gear along with armored vehicles and shut down Webb Road for a few hours.

Township Supervisors’ Chairman Samantha Reiner lives on Webb Road. She said her husband heard shots in those overnight hours, but then nothing until they heard the rumblings of the armored vehicles at about 5:30 a.m. After that came negotiations through a bullhorn. She said she heard “Come out, hands on head, walk backward.”

It all ended at around 9 a.m.

Chadds Ford Live will follow up as information becomes available.
