On Thursday, Aug. 31, Chester County remembered the 109 lives lost in 2021 to drug overdose. The Southern Chester County Chamber of Commerce, as part of the Chamber Alliance of Chester County, took time to remember with Vice Chairman-Commissioner Josh Maxwell in support of the Chester County Department of Drug and Alcohol Services campaigns to:
~ Raise awareness of drug overdose
~ Reduce the stigma surrounding overdoses and drug-related deaths
~ Remember the lives lost to overdose and acknowledge the grief felt by families and friends who have lost a loved one, and
~ Support the County’s efforts promoting September as the nationally recognized Recovery Month, sponsored by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration (SAMHSA).
