ReadyChesco said it expects several rounds of showers and a few thunderstorms to develop starting this afternoon through Tuesday across the area, mainly in Southeastern Pennsylvania, near and northwest of I-95. These showers and storms will bring locally heavy rainfall and the potential for localized flash flooding.

Heavy rainfall is possible this afternoon and evening, but the greatest threat for heavy rainfall will be Monday afternoon through Tuesday morning.

Heavy rainfall may lead to some areas of flash flooding, and ReradyChesco said in an email that it’s 80 percent confident that heavy showers and thunderstorms will impact the region, but confidence is lower on the exact timing and coverage of the flash flood threat.
