Preston Davis, 70, of Chadds Ford, died Wednesday, July. Born August 25, 1951, in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late George Preston and Carole (nee Daknis) Davis.
Preston graduated from West Catholic High School in 1969 and was known by the nickname “Freeze.” He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. Preston retired from the Valero refinery in Paulsboro, N.J., in 2008 after over 30 years of service.
His passions in life were his family, friends, and golf. He was a kind and gentle man, known for his perpetual smile, good nature, and great sense of humor. Preston is survived by his wife of 43 years, Linda; children, Leslie Naylor (Greg), Julia Centofanti (Robert), and Drew Davis (Brittany). Services will be private.
