• It will be music under the stars on June 26 when the Kennett Symphony plays at Longwood Gardens’ Open Air Theatre. • The zoning hearing for Hank’s Place in Chadds Ford Township has been continued to 7 p.m., Wednesday, June 22.
• Music and flowers come together from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Mt. Cuba Center on Friday, June 24. Dance to the beat of your own drum while students and staff from Christina Cultural Arts Center showcase their talents. Create and express yourself with family-friendly activities as you unwind from the week and enjoy a variety of live dance, voice, and musical performances. • Christmas is still six months away, but The Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce is opening applications for participants in the West Chester Christmas Parade, which will be on Friday, Dec. 2. This marks the parade’s long-awaited return since the beginning of the pandemic. Applicants for the parade should visit www.GreaterWestChester.com to fill out the 2022 parade application form. The parade committee will review applications on a rolling basis. The application deadline is Aug. 1. Local entries will be prioritized during the review process.
• It’s a photo contest for Chadds Ford Township residents called Chadds Ford in Bloom. Residents are asked to send their photos of open space, wildlife, historical sites, and countryside views of Chadds Ford info@chaddsfordpa.gov by Aug. 31. Selected photos will be used on the township’s website and Facebook and Instagram accounts.
