Beating the winter blues at Chester County parks.

Chester County Parks + Preservation announces schedules and open registration for its holiday-themed and winter programs. So whether you’re looking for outdoor fun for kids around the holidays or events to enjoy all season long to beat the winter blues, we have something for you. Registration is now open for everything from a holiday luminaire hike, star gazing, and disc golf weekends to winter wilderness hikes, educational programs about maple syrup, and more. • Several of Chester County’s 26 authorities, boards, and commissions are looking for resident volunteers to fill current vacancies and serve. Some roles call for specialized skills, while the main qualification for others is an interest in a particular area. To learn more about what each of the county’s authorities, boards, and commissions does, please visit the county website. United Way of Chester County plans its first-ever golf outing, scheduled for April 26.

• It’s not even winter yet, but some people are already planning for spring. United Way of Chester County will host its first annual Golf Outing on the lush, picturesque greens of Penn Oaks Golf Club in West Chester on April 26, 2022.
