Chester County is looking for help in deciding how to spend money. The county is set to receive $102 million in American Recovery Plan Act funds as part of COVID relief. One part of the process in determining how the money is spent is to have members of the community be part of the ARPA evaluation teams. Anyone age 18 or over who lives or works in Chester County is invited to register their interest in being part of Chester County’s ARPA Evaluation Teams at www.chesco.org/arpa. Application forms should be submitted by Friday, Aug. 20.

Chair yoga at Rachel Kol=hl Library.

Rachel Kohl Library is offering Virtual Chair Yoga classes this month. The one-hour classes are held virtually via Zoom on Mondays at 11 a.m. Beginning in August, there will be a fee of $30 per four-chair yoga class. Sign up and pay for August classes at the library. You’ll receive the Zoom link once you have paid and registered at the circulation desk. After taking a year off due to the pandemic, the Chester County Color 5K is back. This family-friendly event is open to runners and walkers. Funds raised through this year’s Color 5K will continue to help battle the opioid and heroin crisis by supporting the COPE* program. The Color 5K is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 9, at 9 a.m. at Everhart Park in West Chester. Register here by Friday, Sept. 10, to receive early discounted pricing.
