Rt. 1 Bridgework underway
The rehabilitation of the Route 1 Bridge over the Brandywine between Pennsbury and Chadds Ford townships is underway. and traffic lanes are expected to reopen in a few weeks before more work is done.
Work to rehabilitate the Route 1 Bridge over the Brandywine Creek between Pennsbury and Chadds Ford townships is underway. While PennDOT's website still says the work will continue until further notice, PennDOT's Brad Rudolph said the lanes might reopen within a couple of weeks but close again in September for more work. The inside lanes of the bridge were closed following a May 27 inspection.…
