Academic Achievement June 18

Robert Monachello, of Chadds Ford, graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in biology from James Madison University.

Academic Achievement Amelia Giordano, majoring in health science, and Robert Monacello, both of Chadds Ford, were named to the President’s List and James Madison University.

Stephanie Moran, of Chadds Ford, was named to Alvernia University’s Dean’s List for the spring 2021 semester. Moran studied psychology at Alvernia's Reading Campus. To be eligible for the Dean's List, students must carry a semester GPA of 3.5 or better and take a minimum of 12 credits.

Widener University named four Chadds Ford area residents to the school’s Dean's List for spring 2021. The Dean's List recognizes full-time students who earned a grade point average of 3.50 and above for the semester. The students are Andrew Winnick, majoring in accounting, Hope Dimario, majoring in psychology, Matthew Winnick, majoring in finance, and Nicholas DiCostanza, majoring in biology.

Thomas Halsted Jr. and Maggie Lawrence, both of Chadds Ford, were named to the Dean’s List at Ohio University. Halsted is in the College of Business, and Lawrence is in the College of Arts and Sciences.

Two Chadds Ford area residents earned bachelors’ degrees from Bucknell University in May. They are Alex Bolinger, who earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science, and Maura McManus, who earned a Bachelor of Arts in biology.

Gregory Gardner of Chadds Ford graduated with a Bachelor of Science in business and economics degree with a major in finance and accounting from Lehigh University.

Dakota Raymond of Chadds Ford was among the graduates recognized during the University of the Sciences' 200th commencement celebration. Raymond graduated Summa Cum Laude with a doctorate in physical therapy. She is a member of the women's volleyball team as well as Alpha Lambda Delta, National Honor Society of First-Year Students; Alpha Chi, National College Honor Scholarship Society; Alpha Eta Society, National Scholastic Honor Society for the Allied Health Professionals.

Viraj Joshi of Chadds Ford was named to the Dean's List at Penn State University.

• Gina Lusvardi of Chadds Ford was named to the President's List at the University of Alabama. To be named to the President's List at Alabama, a student needs a grade point average of  4.0.

• Olivia Uknis of Chadds Ford was named to the Dean's List at the University of Alabama. To be named to the Dean's List at Alabama, a student needs a grade point average of  3.5 or better.
