The Memorial day Parade in Kennett Square is May 31.

The traditional Kennett Square Memorial Day parade will take place on Memorial Day, May 31, and the ceremonies will specifically honor Artilio “Tillie” J. DiAndrea Sr., lifetime Kennett resident and mushroom grower who served as an Army veteran of World War II serving under General Patton in the Battle of the Bulge in the 86th Blackhawk heavy weapons division. The American Legion will conduct a series of public tribute ceremonies at the following times and locations in the Kennett Square area:
9 a.m. - VFW Post 5467 monument (704 W Baltimore Pike);
9:45 a.m. - Mary D. Lange Kindergarten Center WWI monument (130 W Mulberry St.);
10:15 a.m. - Union Hill Cemetery (424 N Union St );
11 a.m. - St. Patrick’s Cemetery (450 N Union Street ).
All events will include placement of Memorial Day wreaths and a 21-Gun Military Honor Salute.

The Cadds Ford Historical Society's yard sale is back on June 5.

The Chadds Ford Historical Society’s Spring Yard Sale is Saturday, June 5, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. This is a way to support the Chadds Ford Historical Society while shopping for deals. Shop for some hidden treasures, and all the money spent will go to support the society.

The Chester County History Center will hold an Underground Railroad Walking Tour on Saturday, June 19, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and again from 1 to 2:30 p.m. The Underground Railroad was a network of people, African American and white, offering shelter and aid to enslaved people escaping from the South. This family-friendly walking tour will visit locations around downtown West Chester that played a part in these struggles toward freedom and equality. The admission fee is by donation--pay as you wish. The tour covers approximately 1.5 miles. Reserve a spot here.

It's Family Yoga at Mt. Cuba center.

It’s Family Yoga on Saturdays at Mt. Cuba Center June through August. These are outdoor sessions for beginners through those who are experienced, from ages 4 and up. The class is designed to strengthen family bonds. Go here for more information.
