Road Report May 1 to May 7

PennDOT has announced the following road projects, which are weather-dependent and could affect drivers in the greater Chadds Ford area during the week of May 1 to May 7. Motorists are urged to allow extra time if they are traveling through one of the construction zones. Work schedules are subject to change.

Gas work will cause lane closures along Route 1 between Hoffman’s Mill Road and Fairville Road — in Chadds Ford and Pennsbury townships — through May 3.

Aerial maintenance will cause a flagging situation on Westtown Thornton Road — between Dunning Drive and Westtown Road — in Westtown Township through May 7.

Aerial maintenance will also cause a flagging situation on Concord Road and on Route 926 in Westtown Township through May 7.

Water main relocation will cause daytime lane closures on Baltimore Pike — between Chambers Road and Union Street — in New Garden Township through May 7.

Route 3, Gay Street, in West Chester, will be closed during daytime hours due to utility work from through July 1. Utility work will also force daytime closure of Gay Street, between Walnut and Church streets in West Chester, through July 1. Detours will be posted.
