Police Log Feb 24: Theft, harassment, hit and run

• A Boothwyn woman reported to police that someone stole prescription medicine and $350 in cash from her hotel room in Concord Township on Jan. 21. Police are investigating.

• Police are investigating a Feb. 19 hit and run accident on State Farm Drive. The incident happened at 6:40 a.m. According to police, the driver who fled failed to stop at a red light and struck a vehicle driving north on Route 1.

• Cathleen M. Winters, 58, of Chadds Ford, was cited for driving at an unsafe speed following a two-vehicle crash on Ring Road shortly before 8 a.m. on Feb. 19. Police said the crash occurred when Winters lost control of her vehicle and struck the other vehicle that was stopped after hitting a telephone pole.

• Police are investigating the theft of $266 worth of wine and beer from Wegmans on Jan. 17

• An investigation into a charge of harassment is underway. Police said a 24-year-old woman from Chadds Ford reported receiving threatening emails from Marc Della-Porta, 53, of West Chester.
