A 43-year-old Chadds Ford man was scammed out of $40,000 in cryptocurrency in December. Police said the victim clicked on an online ad thinking it was a cryptocurrency exchange site.

Police said a 35-year-old woman from Claymont was arrested for drug possession with intent to distribute in Concord Township on Jan. 15. They did not name the woman or other details.

A Glen Mills man, not named in the report, was arrested for DUI on Jan. 16 near Mr. Mulch on Route 202. The only detail provided is that the suspect is 47 years of age.

Rachel N. Baker, 20, of Lincoln University, was cited for following too closely following a two-car crash on Route 1 near Brandywine Drive on Jan. 29, according to police. The report said Baker struck a car stopped at the light in the left westbound lane. No injuries were reported.

Avondale Barracks

A one-vehicle accident led to a 19-year-old woman from West Chester being cited for not wearing a seat belt. Police identified the driver as Megan L. Kirk. According to the report, Kirk was driving north on Route 52 near Williamsburg Drive in Pocopson Township when she lost control of the Jeep Cherokee she was driving. The Jeep left the roadway and struck a PennDOT roadsign and "multiple trees." Kirk was not injured, the report said.

Police arrested a 48-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman, both from Newark, on drug possession charges following a traffic stop on W. Street Road in Pocopson Township. Police did not identify the suspects or give a reason for the stop. The incident happened just after 3 p.m. on Dec. 2.

Police said Kelly R. McIntyre. 48, was cited after a one-vehicle crash in Pocopson Township on Jan. 3. According to the report, McIntyre was driving a Chevy Suburban northbound on Lenape Road when it went off the road just north of West Lafayette Drive and struck a tree. Police said no occupants were on scene when they arrived but said speed seems to have been the cause of the accident due to the severity of the damage.

State police said they arrested a 58-year-old man from Philadelphia for trying to steal merchandise from the Walmart in East Marlborough Township on Jan. 27. Police did not name the arrestee or say what merchandise he was trying to take.
