Heather Swarbrick

Born in Cheadle Hulme, Cheshire, England to the late Arthur Sanderson and Frances Mary (nee Kershaw) Sanderson, Heather attended the Stockport Technical College which was followed by a cooking demonstration career with Norweb, teaching local villages to cook with electricity.

After marrying Derek in June of 1959, they emigrated from England to Australia where she continued her cooking demonstrations and they began their lifelong adventures of traveling the world and relocating before eventually settling down in Chadds Ford.

While raising her three children, Heather enjoyed working at Strawbridge & Clothier and The Encore Shop but was most content in the kitchen and hosting wonderful dinner parties with friends and colleagues. She was also a master seamstress who could create anything with her sewing table and thread.

Preceded in death by Derek and her brother, John Neville Sanderson; Heather is survived by her children, Mark (Deanna) of Newtown Square, Paul (Stephanie) of Downingtown, Chris of Aston; grandchildren, Austin, Colin, Sydney; great-grandchild, Ashley; sister, Muriel Webber of Bolton, England; and several nieces and nephews.

Services and Internment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Heather's name to: The Arthritis Foundation, P. O. Box 96280, Washington, DC 20077 (www.arthritis.org).
