John H. “Jack” Keeley of Garnet Valley

John H. “Jack” Keeley, 75, of Garnet Valley, died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Jan. 8. Born in Chester, and raised in Wallingford and Aston, he attended Sun Valley High School.

ack was a self-employed contractor for 55 years, he also worked for the Wallingford Swarthmore School District as a facilities supervisor for 19 years. Jack enjoyed cruising, dancing, and trips, but most of all, his family. They were his first priority. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, a special friend, and well-liked by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Marion Keeley, and brothers Thomas and Michael Keeley.

Jack is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Patt Heinley Keeley, children, John Jr., Donna (John) Cieslak & Jenna Keeley (John White), 6 grandchildren, Christine (Luke) Honer, John Keeley III, Sonny Cieslak, Zachary Keeley, Aidan White & Abigail White, two great-grandchildren, Teagan and Robert Honer, many nieces and nephews including his nephew who helped care for him, Dave Burroughs Jr., and siblings, Marion (Jack) Pedrick, Margaret (John) Grubb, Fred (Peggy) Keeley & Diane Barker as well as a sister-in-law, Diane Keeley. A viewing will be held on Wednesday evening, 6-8 p.m. at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA with an additional viewing Thursday at St. Cornelius Catholic Church, 160 Ridge Rd., Chadds Ford, PA from 10-10:45 a.m, followed by a funeral mass at 11 a.m., which will also be live-streamed. Interment, Edgewood Memorial Park, Glen Mills, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jack’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org).
