• WHYY and The Philadelphia Orchestra joined forces to bring viewers across greater Philadelphia a trio of performances by one of the world's preeminent orchestras. Recorded at Verizon Hall at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, each broadcast strives to share the transformative power of music while creating joy, connection, and excitement through music for all to see. The broadcasts are Wednesday, Dec.23, Saturday, Jan. 30, and Saturday, Feb. 6. All are at 9 p.m. on WHYY TV. Performances include favorites from the "Nutcracker" on Dec. 23, Branford Marsalis on Jan. 30, and Vivaldi's "The Four Seasons" on Feb. 6.

• Chester County History Center's Holiday Stroll is Sunday, Dec. 27. There will be two sessions, one at 11:30 a.m. and the other at 1:30 p.m. The cost is $12 for members, $20 for non-members. Visitors can explore 200 years of tradition in West Chester during the 60-minute tour, followed by libation provided by Saloon 151. Go here to reserve a spot.
