Mt. Cuba Center wants to teach people how to attract hummingbirds. It's an online event on Jan. 13 at 10 a.m. or Jan. 20 at 5:30 p.m. Make your yard a haven for hummingbirds by learning how to create a garden with ideal habitats, nesting requirements, and food sources. The Chester County History Center is offering a special on gift memberships. For a limited time, a family membership gift will include a gift box of membership cards, a $10 gift card for use in the museum shop, a decorative tree ornament, a decorative bow, a holiday postcard, and two Chester County History Center face masks. The Chester County Art Association is calling it Christkindlmarkt. This weekend, Dec. 11, 12, and 13, people are asked to join the CCAA for festive and safety-conscious holiday shopping. Find one-of-a-kind hand-crafted gifts — ornaments, artwork, pottery — plus food trucks, music, fun for the kids, and Santa. Vendors and activities are outside and in well- ventilated indoor spaces. Hours are 5-9 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m.to 5 p.m. on Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.om Sunday. Santa's visits are 6-7 p.m. Friday, 2:30 to 34:30 p.m. Saturday, and noon to 1 p.m. on Sunday. Masks are required.

Home for New Year's Eve? Uptown! Knauer Performing Arts Center has just the ticket. It's Pop, Fizz & Chill (At Home). It's the fifth annual New Year's Eve Gala, from 8 to 10 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 31. It will feature a diverse lineup, including jazz and classical guitar, dueling pianos, Broadway cabaret with Hanna Gaffney, world-renowned Kun-Yang Lin/Dancers, and a lot more. There will even be an online raffle with winners announced during the event. Tickets must be ordered in advance, and only one per household is required.
