Police are investigating a report of someone diluting liquid morphine belonging to a resident at Maris Grove. The incident happened sometime between 6 a.m. on Nov. 2 and 6 a.m. on Nov. 11. No other information was released.

Someone stole a cell phone from a 66-year-old man from Cochranville at the Wawa on Naamans Creek Road on Nov. 20, police said.  The theft happened sometime between 1 and 5 p.m.

A 55-year-old West Chester woman was transported for treatment of injuries following a two-vehicle crash on Route 202 south of Naamans Creek Road last month. According to the police report, the woman, identified by police as Debbie M. Preble, was also cited for following too closely. The accident happened at 4:05 p.m. on Nov. 7. Police said she failed to stop in time before striking another vehicle that was stopped due to heavy traffic. The other driver was believed injured, but he refused transport, the report said.

Avondale Barracks

Police from the Avondale barracks said they cited Jesus U. Orihuela-Suarez for speeding following a one-vehicle crash on West Doe Run Road in East Marlborough Township on Nov. 28. According to the report, Orihuela-Suarez was driving eastbound on Route 82 when he lost control after a deer ran across his path. His vehicle, a 2004 Acura TSX, spun 90 degrees clockwise, striking a telephone pole.

Two teenagers aged 18 and 19, from Suffolk, Va., were arrested for drug possession in East Marlborough Township on Nov. 28. The two were not named in the report. Police said they stopped the vehicle they were in for a traffic violation but smelled marijuana coming from the car as they approached. The operator appeared nervous and police conducted a probable cause search, which revealed the cannabis and paraphernalia. Police said the driver also confessed to having smoked some weed.

Police arrested a 20-year-old man — not identified in the report — from New Castle, Del. for DUI in Kennett Township after he drove through a stop sign at 3:05 a.m. on Nov. 26. Police attempted the initial stop on Chandler Mill Road near Kaolin Road, but the driver failed to stop. Police eventually had to use "tire deflation devices" to stop the 2009 Chevrolet Silverado. Police said they found the driver to be under the influence of alcohol and controlled substances and that he was wanted on various charges in Maryland and Delaware.

An 18-year-old from Honey Brook was arrested for drug possession in Kennett Square on Dec. 3. Police said they stopped the vehicle the teen was driving because of equipment violations and could smell the odor of marijuana as they approached the vehicle. Police performed a search and found the contraband.
