Police cited both drivers in an Aug. 7 two-car crash for various infractions. Police said Trevor W. Yeager, 21, of Philadelphia, was charged with following too closely, while Danielle A. Atkins, 28, of Coatesville, was charged with driving while her privileges were suspended, according to police. The accident happened in the westbound lanes of Conchester Highway at 11:32 a.m.

A 70-year-old woman from East Marlborough Township was a victim of a scam. A police report said someone pretending to be from Amazon contacted the woman on Aug. 18, saying there had been fraudulent activity on her account and that she needed to buy $600 worth of Google Play gift cards to rectify the problem. The woman bought the cards, then gave the numbers to the unknown suspect.

A traffic stop followed by a probable cause search lead to the arrest of a 19-year-old man from Baltimore in Kennett Township for DUI and drug charges. Police made the arrest at 12:45 a.m. on Aug. 23 at the intersection of Kennett Pike and Hillendale Road. No other details were released.

Troopers arrested a 48-year-old man from St. Georges, Del., for DUI following a traffic stop on W. Locust in East Marlborough Township. No details were given in the report, other than that the arrest happened at 9:22 p.m. on Aug. 23.

Police said Max M. O’Brien, 22, of Chadds Ford, was cited for careless driving after he rode his Harley Davidson into the rear of a car that was stopped on Route 1 because of utility work. The incident happened on Aug. 18 at 6:03 p.m. near the intersection of Route 1 and Old Baltimore Pike in Pennsbury Township. The report said the car stopped in the right lane of the northbound lanes. O’Brien, the report said, was unable to stop in time, struck the car from behind, and was then thrown from the bike. EMS from Longwood Fore Co. transported him to Crozer for a suspected minor injury, police said.

Michael Rudd, 35, of Kennett Square, was arrested for DUI following a car/motorcycle crash in New Garden Township on Aug. 5. The accident happened shortly before 8 a.m. on the northbound Kennett-Oxford Bypass of Route 1, south of Route 82. The report did not detail the accident or say who was in the car and who was riding the motorcycle. The other person involved was a 55-year-old woman from West Grove.

 Police said they arrested a 25-year-old woman from Lancaster on a variety of charges following a traffic stop in Kennett Township on Aug. 8. No reason for the stop was given in the report, but police said the woman was arrested for DUI, possession of a concealed firearm, and endangering the child's welfare. A 17-year-old girl was in the vehicle at the time. The stop came at 12:33 a.m. on Route 1 at N. Walnut Road.

A 30-year-old man from Newport, Del. was arrested for DUI in Pocopson Township on July 22. A police report said troopers responded to a downed tree in the vicinity of Corrine and Locust Grove roads at 10:35 p.m. when a vehicle approached from the other side of the tree. Troopers contacted the driver, and they determined he was impaired and in possession of narcotics. Police did not name the suspect in the report.
