Police Log Aug 12: Child endangerment, car break-ins, harassment

Police said seven people had items stolen from their vehicles parked on Homestead lane in Concord Township during the overnight hours from Aug. 3 to Aug. 4. The vehicles were unlocked, the report said, and one was parked in the victim’s garage. Police did not report on what was stolen or the estimated value of the items taken.

A two-vehicle crash on Route 202 led to the arrest of a 21-year-old man from Bear, Del. Police said they performed a probable cause search and found one of the vehicle’s contained “a large amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.” The incident happened on Aug. 4; the suspect was not named in the report.

A police report said 29-year-old John Keeley, of Garnet Valley, was arrested for DUI, aggravated assault, and other offenses following a July 31 incident on Stoney Bank Road at Route 1. The report did not offer any details of the event.

Two Chester County residents were arrested for harassment in Concord Township on Aug. 6. The report identified them as Lisa Pergallini, 41, of Exton, and Ryan Sandow, 37, of Oxford. The report further said that there had been an active arrest warrant for Pergallini. Both sustained injuries during the physical altercation. The incident happened at the Comfort Inn on Route 1.

Police said Mindy M. Weaver, 43, of Gap, was arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of children, DUI, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and several summary traffic offenses following a traffic stop. The incident occurred on Thursday, Aug. 6, at 12:06 a.m., in the area of Gap Newport Pike and Starr Road. Police said when they made contact with Weaver, a juvenile child was in the front passenger seat. The odor of marijuana was detected, police said, and Weaver was displaying signs of impairment. Field sobriety tests confirmed impairment, and Weaver was taken into custody. A search of the vehicle located a plastic baggie of suspected marijuana, multiple marijuana cigars, a THC vaporizer with THC oil, a grinder with marijuana, and a bag with suspected methamphetamine. Weaver refused to submit to a chemical test of her blood, the report said. She was transported to Chester County Prison for processing and arraignment and was committed after failing to post bail.
