The Together We will Prevail! initiative, which was launched after the COVID-19 lockdown began, has delivered over 300 meals to various organizations including Wilmington Hospital, Nemours Children’s Hospital, Christiana Hospital, and the Chester County Hospital.

Sudha Joshi, the owner of Rasa said in the release, “When the COVID-19 lockdown started, we were in a state of shock, panic and despair like the rest of the world. We took a deep breath and decided to focus on the things we can control and influence. We heard about the sacrifices the emergency personnel are making. We wanted to do something to help. That is how this initiative was born” said Joshi. She added that after the first few donations, Rasa’s customers and friends started inquiring and offering sponsorship. “The Rasa family believes our guests are our extended family. This initiative and the energy from our guests exemplify that spirit.”

Becky Phillips, Partnership Development & Cause Marketing leader of Nemours Fund for Children's Health said: “Nemours is very appreciative of the kindness and support of the local community, including restaurants like Rasa Indian Cuisine. Your generosity during these difficult times is much appreciated by our associates, and the patients and families they are treating.  We are truly fortunate to have such a supportive member of our community contributing to our needs.”

“Our unit staff enjoyed the delicious individually packed meals from Rasa Indian Cuisine. We appreciate their prompt response during this pandemic!” said Dr. Mufti and Dr. Agarwal, of the Psychiatry Unit of Christiana Care hospital system in an email.
