Estella F. Hermann, 85, of Chadds Ford, died unexpectedly on Feb. 22, at home. Born to Olaf and Agnes Miles Halvorsen in Chester, she was a longtime resident of Chadds Ford. In her earlier years, Estella was a custodian working at West Chester University.
In addition to her parents, Estella is preceded in death by her husband, Franz Herrmann, two sons, Chuck Nelson and Kenneth Nelson who died Feb. 20.
She is survived by her twin sister, Dorothy Loeffler, grandchildren, Charles Nelson and Kristina Darnall, five great-grandchildren and a nephew whom she raised, Michael Logue as well as great-nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held with her son Kenneth on Wednesday, 9-10 a.m. at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, followed by a funeral service at 10. Interment, Edgewood Memorial Park, Glen Mills.
