Members of the Hilton chain and those of the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce officially cut the ribbon for the new Home 2 Suites by Hilton in Concord Township.

The Home 2 Suites by Hilton are up and running in Concord Township. The newest member of the famous hotel chain opened in November but held a formal ribbon-cutting ceremony on Feb. 13. According to General Manager Ryan Greene, the facility at 75 Applied Bank Boulevard near Wegmans, is an extended stay facility with each room having its own full-service kitchen and guests use their cell phones to check-in, unlock the doors and operate the televisions. There’s also a heated saline pool and exercise center. Home 2 also serves a hot buffet breakfast and is pet-friendly. The next meeting of the Business and Professional Association of Western Delaware County is Wednesday, Feb. 19 at Brandywine Prime in Chadds Ford at 6:15 p.m., with dinner beginning at 7. The Delaware County Chamber of Commerce will have an award dinner for the 2020 Small Business Awards honorees. The annual event celebrates small business excellence in Delaware County. The awards dinner will be hosted at the Drexelbrook Catering & Corporate Events Center on Thursday, March 19. The evening will begin with a cocktail hour at 5:30 p.m. and the dinner and awards portion to the follow beginning at 6:15 p.m. Tickets and sponsorship sell out rapidly and can be purchased online.
