Visitors to the Brandywine River Museum last Saturday sit around the fire toasting marshmallows during the annual Arctic Barbecue in the museum courtyard.

Darlington Arts Center is now taking registrations for its Summer Arts Camps in music, art, dance and drama and is open to youngsters aged 3 to 14. Full- and half-day camps are available. For more information, a schedule or to register, go here.

Sculpting classes get underway at the Chester County Art Association next month. Basic Sculpture: Learning to Think in 3 Dimensions begins at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 7. Students will develop techniques of basic sculpture and how to build an armature and a sculpture using oil-based clay. For more information or to register, go here.

Neumann University will host Women in Leadership on Thursday, Feb. 13 from 1-4 p.m. in the school’s Meagher Theater. To register, go here.

West Chester University hosts climate activist and Ireland’s first female President, Mary Robinson, to speak on Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 8 p.m., in the Emilie K. Asplundh Concert Hall, Philips Memorial Building, 700 S. High Street, West Chester. $22 general admission tickets are available here, for this and other events, or at 610-436-2266. This program is hosted by the West Chester University Sustainability Council and the Office of Sustainability. Robinson served as president of Ireland from 1990–1997 and UN High Commissioner for Human Rights from 1997-2002. Currently, she is an adjunct professor of climate justice at Trinity College Dublin. She is chair of The Elders, a member of the Club of Madrid, and the recipient of numerous honors and awards.
