State police are investigating a case of attempted child luring and corruption that happened about 3 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21 on Rebeccas Lane near Thornton Road in Concord Township. A police report said a 12-year-old girl was approached by a man in a van who showed her a sexually explicit video on his phone and asked her if she’d liked to engage in sex acts with him. The girl was able to get home without incident. The suspect is described as an Asian or Hispanic male in his late 40s, short black hair, baseball cap and beard. The vehicle is a white or cream-colored sedan. Anyone with information is asked to call {SP, Media barracks at 484-840-1000.

State police from the Media barracks are investigating a report of a stolen vehicle on Dec. 9. A report said the 2007 Chevrolet Silverado — and its key — was taken sometime between 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6 and 10 a.m. the following day. The report did not give a full location, only that it happened in a parking lot on Wilmington Pike.

State police said Kelly Stefany Reyes, 28, of Philadelphia, was arrested on retail theft charges following a Jan. 12 incident at Wegmans in Concord Township. According to the report, Reyes stole $85 worth of merchandise from the store.

Someone stole the license plate from a 2020 Nissan Altima that was parked in the lot at 7300 Johnson Farm Lane in Concord Township. The theft took place sometime between Jan. 10 and Jan. 13. Police are investigating.

Police arrested a 44-year-old woman from Elkins Park at the Target store in Concord Township on Jan. 13. The woman, not named in the report, reportedly placed bogus price stickers on merchandise in order to pay less than the actual price. She reportedly had done that six times between Dec. 23 and Jan13. She allegedly under-rang more than $440.

Police are investigating the theft of vehicle parts from a construction site on Conchester Highway in Concord Township sometime between Jan. 10 and 13. Batteries were stolen from all the equipment on the site, a release said.

A traffic stop for vehicle violations resulted in an Oxford man being arrested for DUI in Concord Township. State police identified the driver as Ronald Simpson, 46. A report said the stop was made on Route 1 at Evergreen Drive on Jan. 8 and that Simpson showed signs of intoxication and that a field sobriety test showed he had been driving under the influence.

Someone stole a wallet from a truck parked on Park Lane in Concord Township on Jan. 10. Police are investigating.

Kyra Schaefer, 27, of West Grove, was arrested for DUI in Chadds Ford on Dec. 28, according to police. A report said that after Schaefer was stopped for traffic violations on Route 1, police determined she was under the influence of alcohol and incapable of driving safely.

Police said Chenggui Xie, 31, of New York, N.Y., was cited following a three-vehicle crash on the Conchester Highway in Concord Township on Jan. 12. The driver of the second vehicle — a 73-year-old man from Chadds Ford — was taken to Crozer Medical Center for treatment of injuries. A report said Xie failed to stop for traffic at the light at Conchester and Evergreen Drive, striking the vehicle in front and forcing it into a third vehicle.

Karen Miller, 52, of Kennett Square, was arrested for DUI in East Marlborough Township on Jan. 20, according to a state police report. A traffic stop was made shortly after 1 a.m. at Lenape Unionville Road at E. Doe Run Road. Police said they stopped the vehicle because the driver failed to use turn signals while exiting the rotary onto E. Doe Run. The vehicle’s two left tires also crossed the double yellow line into oncoming traffic lanes, police said, and the driver, identified as Miller, showed signs of impairment when approached. Field sobriety tests also indicated impairment, the report said.

A 38-year-old man from Coatesville, not named in the police report, was arrested for drug possession in East Marlborough Township on Jan. 20. Police said they made a traffic stop on a vehicle for failing to make a complete stop at E. Doe Run Road and Peonie Drive and was swerving in the lane of traffic. The incident happened at 10:43 p.m.

Police said a Jan. 18 traffic stop on Cossart Road in Pennsbury Township led to a 17-year-old — a passenger — for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.

State police from the Avondale barracks are investigating a report of a burglary in Pennsbury Township on Dec. 24. Someone removed a laptop computer — from a property on Cannoneer Drive.
