Julia C. Becker, beloved wife, mom, grandmother and great-grandmother, died Thursday, Dec. 5, after a brief illness. Born in York, and a longtime resident of Chadds Ford, Julia spent her final years in Wilmington and was known for her generosity, determination, and love of animals and the outdoors. A memorial service is planned, details of which will be posted in the near future on the Chandler Funeral Homes website (www.chandlerfuneralhome.com). In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations can be made to the Faithful Friends Animal Society.
