“The Bullies Christmas Carol” runs this Friday and Saturday.

WCStudio at Uptown! presents a concert of holiday music along with a short holiday play on Dec. 6 and 7. The first performance is on Friday, Dec. 6 at 5 p.m. The second show is a matinee at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7. Both shows run 90 minutes. This year, the play is “The Bullies Christmas Carol. In this story, terrible twins Ebbie and Neezer bully their classmates, steal toys from homeless children, and do everything they can to ruin the school's annual All-Inclusive, Non-Specific Holiday Celebration. But when three goofy ghosts show the siblings the past, present, and future consequences of their awful deeds, they take another look at their choices. Uptown! Once again, the Longwood Fire Co. will be taking Santa to townships in the area. It starts this Sunday, Dec. 8.

Santa has scheduled his yearly arrival trips on a Longwood Fire Co. truck. All of the trips begin at 8:30 a.m. Santa will visit areas served by Longwood’s fire and rescue service. Santa will be in East Marlborough Township on Sunday, Dec. 8, Kennett Township on Saturday, Dec. 14, Pocopson on Sunday, Dec. 15 and in Pennsbury on Saturday, Dec. 21.

The Chadds Ford Historical Society’s annual Candlelight Christmas is this Saturday, Dec. 7. Experience the food and drinks of the winter season during the colonial era. Sample beverages along with sweet and savory foods from original 18th-century recipes. Tours include the John Chads House, the Springhouse and, the Barns-Brinton House. For more information visit the CFHS website. Cost for Candlelight Christmas is $15 per person in advance, $20 at the door. Purchase tickets online or at the visitors' center.

West Chester University invites the surrounding community to ring in the holidays with a festive celebration of music at the 98th annual Holiday Concert. The concert is on Saturday, Dec. 7 at 3 p.m. in the 1200-seat Emilie K. Asplundh Concert Hall, Philips Memorial Building, 700 S. High Street, West Chester. The Chester County Art Association will hold its holiday open house this Saturday, Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with festive refreshments and a sneak peek at the December shows that officially open on Dec. 12.

An “Irish Christmas in America” will be at The Grand Opera House next Wednesday, Dec. 11 at 8 p.m.

The magic of Christmas in Ireland comes to Wilmington on Wed. Dec. 11, 8 p.m. with "Irish Christmas in America." Starring some of Ireland's leading artists, the show's lively music, thrilling step dance, and stories of the season will light up Copeland Hall at The Grand Opera House, 818 N. Market Street.
