Roadwork for Oct. 12-Oct. 18

PennDOT has announced the following road projects, which are weather-dependent and could affect residents in the greater Chadds Ford area during the week of Oct. 12-Oct. 18. Motorists are urged to allow extra time if they are traveling through one of the construction zones. Work schedules are subject to change.

Pole replacement will cause lane restrictions on Route 202, between Oakland and Dilworthtown roads in Chadds Ford Township from Oct. 15-23.

From Monday, Oct. 14, through Wednesday, Oct. 16, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on southbound Route 202 between Boot Road and Britons Bridge Road in West Goshen, Westtown, Thornbury and Birmingham townships for crack sealing. A single lane closure will be in place on Route 841 (Chatham Road) between Route 82 (Doe Run Road) and Route 926 (Street Road) in West Marlborough Township, on Tuesday, Oct. 15, and Wednesday, Oct. 16, for shoulder cutting,

From Oct. 14-18, motorists should expect lane closures on S. High  Street, between Dean and Union streets in West Chester, for road restoration.

Through Oct. 14, Route 1 in Middletown Township will be completely closed between Red Roof Drive and Valley Road on a 24-hour basis. Detours will be posted

Barrier installation will cause lane closures on Brandywine Creek Road between Green Valley Road and Powell Road in Newlin Township through June 2020.

Road reconstruction will close Spring Valley Road — between Conchester Highway and Concord Road — in Concord Township through April 30, 2020.

Lane restrictions on the Conchester Highway, between Routes 1 and Clayton Park Drive will continue through Oct. 20, 2020, for reconstruction and widening.
