Roadwork for Sept. 14-Sept. 20

PennDOT has announced the following road projects, which are weather-dependent and could affect residents in the greater Chadds Ford area during the week of Sept. 14-Sept. 20. Motorists are urged to allow extra time if they are traveling through one of the construction zones. Work schedules are subject to change.

Tree trimming will cause lane restrictions on Route 926 (Street Road) between Pocopson Road and School House Road in Pocopson and East Marlborough townships between Sept. 16 and 20.

The right lane of E. Baltimore Pike, between Old Forge Lane and S. Orchard Avenue in East Marlborough Township, will be closed from Sept.17-20 for utility work.

Monday, Sept. 16, through Friday, Sept. 20, a single lane restriction is scheduled on Route 52 — Lenape Road — between Valley Road and Lenape Unionville Road in Pocopson Township for high friction surface treatment.

Utility work will close the right lane of King Road — between Alumnae Drive and Immaculata Drive in West Chester — from Sept. 9-20.

Utility work will also close the right lane of Boot Road — between carriage Drive and Clover Lane in West Chester — from Sept. 9-20.

Utility pole replacement will cause lane closures on Pocopson Road — between Street and Parkerville Roads in Pocopson Township — through Oct. 1.

Barrier installation will cause lane closures on Brandywine Creek Road between Green Valley Road and Powell Road in Newlin Township through June 2020.

Guard rail repair is expected to cause right lane and shoulder restriction on Route 1 in Concord Township between Sept. 8 and 21.

Road reconstruction will close Spring Valley Road — between Conchester Highway and Concord Road — in Concord Township through April 30, 2020. Detours will be posted.

Lane restrictions on the Conchester Highway, between Routes 1 and Clayton Park Drive will continue through Oct. 20, 2020 for reconstruction and widening.
