Last year, Unionville High School Quarterback Club President Erica Burns and Head Coach Pat Clark shared their vision for a new and improved press box at Unionville Stadium. More than $40,000 was raised through donations from UHS families and community organizations, and donations of time and services from contractors, architects, and laborers all helped make the project possible. The new press box features separate coaches’ rooms, along with rooftop filming areas, for both the home and visiting teams. Additionally, heating and air conditioning were installed for the dedicated event workers who reliably show up to support UHS athletic programs. The press box will also support the efforts of UHS-TV, a student-run broadcast program, for their vision of live streaming games. Overall, this project will support all programs for many many years. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Aug. 29 during half-time of the UHS football home opener to unveil the press box and celebrate those who made significant donations to the project.
