The 15th Annual West Chester International Short Film Festival will be held Friday, April 26 through Sunday, April 28 throughout the Borough of West Chester. The festival presents short films — 30 minutes or less — from around the world. During the weekend, more than 60 films will be shown in the official Festival Film Blocks, the Family Film Festival and the Young Filmmaker Festival.

"For our 15th annual fest, we are changing things up. This year will feature more events than ever, including our popular parties, workshops presented by industry professionals, and –- new this year — Pop-up Film Blocks focusing on different themes. We also have a record number of award-winning and Oscar-nominated films which will be screened throughout the Festival including the 2019 Oscar for Best Live Action Short Skin” said Tori Flickinger, sponsorship coordinator.

The festival launches with the ticketed opening night party held on Friday from 5-7 p.m. at align.Space. Guests can mingle with filmmakers, actors, and fellow film enthusiasts while enjoying beverages and hors d'oeuvres.

Film blocks will be shown throughout the weekend at various pop-up locations and at the main venue, the Uptown! Knauer Performing Arts Center. Informative, fun, and free Filmmaker Workshops, as well as the popular Filmmaker Meet & Greet, will be held on Saturday.

The festival will close on Sunday with the closing night party held at the Uptown! Knauer Performing Arts Center where all genre winners will be announced and screened one last time.
