Lynnore P. Compton of Chadds Ford

Lynnore P. Compton, 60, of Chadds Ford, died Monday, Dec. 17, at her home. She was the wife of Earle A. Compton, with whom she shared 31 years of marriage.

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was the daughter of Rose and the late Joseph Pizzirusso. Lynnore graduated summa cum laude from Millersville University where she received a bachelor’s of science degree in computer science and received her master’s in business administration from Widener University. She worked for many years at Scott Paper Co. and enjoyed the community at Radley Run Country Club.

She was very devoted to her family and friends and a champion for disabled children. She was known for her generous spirit and desire to help others in every aspect of her life. She was the epitome incarnate of the Maya Angelou quote, “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”

In addition to her husband and mother, Lynnore is survived by her sons: Brett and Scott; siblings: Diane Hoover, Joseph Pizzirusso and Douglas Pizzirusso; and a broad extended family.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral mass at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 21, at St. Cornelius Church, 160 Ridge Rd., Chadds Ford, PA 19317.

There will be a viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 20, at Founds Funeral Home, Inc., 229 S. High St., West Chester, PA 19382. Interment will be private.
