It’s five days of free YMCA beginning next week. All seven branches of the YMCA of Greater Brandywine will open their doors to the community at no charge from Wednesday, Dec. 26 to Monday, Dec. 31. Now is the perfect time to try our facilities, shoot hoops, swim in the pool or check out the fitness center, or try yoga, cycling or exercise class. Anyone 18 years or older may click here to download a pass or stop by their local branch to receive one. Please bring the pass and a valid ID when visiting. Children under the age of 18 are welcome to visit with a parent or guardian. In addition, anyone who signs up for a 12-month membership will have the $99 join fee waived.

The Chester County Art Association’s main facility in West Chester will be closed from Sunday, Dec. 23, through to Tuesday, Jan. 1. They will reopen from 9 to 5 on Wednesday, Jan. 2.

The Delaware County Libraries System is adding Pronunciator, a language-learning program available to Delaware County residents, free of charge. Pronunciator offers basic to advanced language learning courses in over 80 languages through activities, drills, quizzes, interactive coaching, and live practice with native speakers.

The Chadds Ford Township Board of Supervisors hereby gives notice that at the workshop meeting, Dec. 28, at 4 p.m., the proposed 2019 General and Capital Fund Budget will be considered for adoption. The meeting will be held at the township building, 10 Ring Road. The public is invited to attend. View or download the 2019 General and Capital Fund Budget.
