Due to the weather forecast for this weekend, the Concord Township Harvest Festival is postponed until 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4.

The Kennett Symphony of Chester County and Music Director Michael Hall presents their opening night concert: Emotional Landscapes featuring Beethoven Symphony No. 9. The concert will be held on Saturday, Oct. 27, 7:30 p.m. in the Unionville High School auditorium, 750 Unionville Road, Kennett Square. The concert also includes Franz Schubert’s playful Rosamunde Overture and three short songs by Gustav Mahler, that despite their brevity, probe the depth and breadth of the human experience. The Chester County Historical Society is holding its first Halloween Ball from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27. The event is at CCHS, 225 North High Street, West Chester and features a live auction, music, costume contest, and open bar. Catering provided by Jimmy Duffy. Costumes encouraged. The Women’s Independent Networking Group for Success is hosting its first “WINGS for Women” celebration event from 5 to 7 p.m. at DiFabio’s Restaurant, 1234 N. Providence Road, Media on Monday, Oct. 29. During the celebration, WINGS will present The Center Foundation with a $1,000 donation to be used for programming that promotes women’s professional and personal development. WINGS connects women growing their businesses and promotes them through networking by providing support, education, and training. Darlington Arts Center is hosting a Halloween Party from 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Oct. 31 for preschoolers. It features  Halloween themed art project, a theatrical Spooky Tales Story Time, a scavenger hunt, and a Trick or Treat journey with food and beverages. Leon Logothetis, the host of Netflix series “The Kindness Diaries,” will be speaking at Unionville High School from 7-9 p.m. on Nov. 1. Logothetis has traveled to more than 90 countries, giving gifts to unsuspecting good Samaritans. “An Evening with Leon Logothetis”  is free and will be held in the school’s auditorium.

La Comunidad Hispana in Kennett Square will be holding its second annual Amigos and Amigas of LCH Dinner on Friday, Nov. 2, from 6 to 9 p.m., at the Red Clay Room in Kennett Square. The event will offer authentic Mexican food, an open bar, performances from Mariachi Flores and Ballet Folklórico de México, as well as local pastor and singer Lydia Muñoz, and an authentic “Day of the Dead” altar creation. Proceeds from the evening will benefit LCH’s programs to benefit residents of southern Chester County, including affordable, high-quality health care and a range of social, educational, legal, and workforce development programs.
