PennDOT has announced the following road projects, which are weather-dependent and could affect residents in the greater Chadds Ford area during the week of Sept. 22 to Sept. 28. Motorists are urged to allow extra time if they are traveling through one of the construction zones. Work schedules are subject to change.

• Base repair and paving will cause lane restrictions on Harvey Road in Chadds Ford Township from Sept. 24-26.

• There will also be lane restrictions on Ring Road — between Ridge Road and Route 1 in Chadds Ford — on Sept 26 and 27 for paving.

• Paving will cause lane restrictions on Ridge Road, from the Delaware state line to Route 202, on Sept. 28.

• Brinton Lake Road is scheduled to close between Route 1 and Mill Road in Concord Township on Friday, Sept. 21, through Tuesday, Sept. 25, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., for pipe replacement and headwall reconstruction. Motorists will be directed to use Route 1, Thornton Road and Mill Road. Local access will be maintained up to the work zone. The schedule is weather dependent.

• Utility installation will cause lane restrictions on Route 41 between Newark and New Garden roads between Sept. 21 and Oct. 5.

• Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions on Route 1  between the Newark Road and Route 41 interchanges in New Garden Township, on Monday, Sept. 24, through Friday, Sept. 28, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., for bridge repairs.

• The Route 82 — Creek Road — bridge in Kennett Township remains closed indefinitely.

• Barrier installation continues to cause indefinite lane closures on Brandywine Creek Road, between Green Valley and Powell roads, in Newlin Township.

• Spring Valley Road in Concord Township, between Fellowship Road and Conchester Highway, will be closed and detoured through Sept. 28.

• Road widening continues to keep Station Road South closed in Concord Township, between Conchester Highway and Partridge Lane through Oct. 18.

• Station Road North — between Conchester Highway and Concord Road — remains closed through Oct. 18.

• Cambridge Drive remains closed for road widening at Conchester Highway through Oct. 18

• Periodic lane restrictions continue through Oct. 20, on Conchester Highway, between Route 1 and Foulk Road, in Concord Township.
