Addressing infertility

You are currently viewing Addressing infertility

Many couples who want a child face the problem of infertility. They have tried to conceive, but have not been able to do so. If you and your partner are unable to have a child, consider having an infertility evaluation at the HAN Fertility Center. Our experts can evaluate you and your partner to find out what is causing the infertility problem, and what can be done to address it.

A Patient’s Perspective

Shivani Vohra speaks about her experience with Albert El-Roeiy, M.D. and the staff of the HAN Fertility Clinic, and the joy that her daughter, Zenna, has brought into her life.

Diagnosing Infertility

It’s important to know what is “normal” when it comes to how long it can take to conceive a child naturally. For most couples, there is a 15 to 25 percent chance that the woman will become pregnant in any particular month.

If you have been trying unsuccessfully to become pregnant for a year or more, you may benefit from male and female infertility testing.

Conditions We Treat

Sometimes, simple changes in your life can make a big difference. You should talk to your doctor about the impact your habits can have on your ability to conceive. Those factors include weight, smoking and consuming alcoholic beverages. If you are still unable to achieve a successful pregnancy making lifestyle changes, a more serious condition may be causing your infertility.

The offers treatment for most common conditions that affect fertility, including:

Treatment Options

We treat couples who need advanced assistance in starting their families. Our specialized physicians, nurses, and staff take the time get to know you, your family and your needs. We have built a phenomenal success rate of bringing families hope and the miracle of birth.

Artificial Insemination

We perform artificial insemination during an ovulation induction cycle, or with the use of an ovulation predictor. This procedure is typically done very quickly, with minimal discomfort.

In Vitro Fertilization (IVF)

IVF involves extracting a woman's eggs, fertilizing the eggs in the laboratory with sperm and then transferring the resulting embryo(s) into the woman's uterus through the cervix where it can develop.

Egg Donation

Many couples who struggle with infertility turn to egg donation to achieve pregnancy. Egg donation involves an embryo formed from the egg of one woman (the donor) being transferred to another woman who is unable to conceive with her own eggs (the recipient).

Embryo Adoption

HAN Fertility Center has partnered with the Snowflakes Embryo Adoption Program so that single patients or patient couples can explore adopting embryos that are donated by another couple and are currently held in storage throughout the U.S.

Additional Fertility Services

Fertility Preservation

This may not be the right time in your life to start or expand your family, but fertility preservation allows individuals and couples to maintain options for future family building. Fertility preservation includes cryopreservation of sperm, unfertilized oocytes and fertilized eggs.

Genetic Testing

We offer preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) or preimplantation genetic screening (PGS) to reduce the risk of adverse outcomes due to chromosome number or structure, or due to inherited traits or diseases.

LGBT Reproductive Services

We recognize that the desire to parent is not restricted by gender preference. HAN Fertility Center has established the LGBT Reproductive Center that offers high quality, state-of-the-art alternatives to adoption for singles, and partnered or married couples regardless of their sexual orientation.
