Roadwork for March 10 through March 16

PennDOT has announced the following road projects, which are weather-dependent and could affect residents in the greater Chadds Ford area during the week of Mach 10 through March 16. Motorists are urged to allow extra time if they are traveling through one of the construction zones.

• The ramp from the eastbound Route 30/Exton Bypass to northbound Route 202 in East and West Whiteland townships, will be closed at night next week for overhead bridge construction. The work schedule is: Tuesday, March 13, through Thursday, March 15, the ramp will be reduced to a single lane from 8:00 p.m. to 10 p.m., then closed completely from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning; and Friday, March 16, the ramp will be reduced to a single lane from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., then closed completely until 10 a.m. Saturday, March 17.

• Expect lane restrictions on S. Union Street, between W. Hillendale Road and Meadow Lane, in Kennett Township for utility installation March 12-16.

• There will a lane closure on the Baltimore Pike Bridge at Bancroft Road in New Garden Township, March 12-16 for test hole excavating.

• Utility installation will cause nighttime lane closures on Route 202, between Robin’s Nest Lane and Old Wilmington Pike in Westtown Township through March 17.

• Barrier installation continues to cause indefinite lane closures on Brandywine Creek Road, between Green Valley and Powell roads, in Newlin Township.

• Sunoco Pipeline has closed Route 352 at Boot Road in East Goshen Township, for pipe installation. The restriction is only for trucks traveling south and turning onto Boot Road. The daily closure will remain in effect through late December.

• Motorists should expect daytime lane restrictions on Pyle Road, between Route 202 and Concord Crossing, In Concord Township weekdays through April . 13 for utility installation.

• Periodic lane restrictions continue through Oct. 20, on Conchester Highway, between Route 1 and Foulk Road, in Concord Township.

• Station Road, between Concord Road and Conchester Highway, in Concord Township, is closed through Oct. 20, for road construction. Detours are posted.
