Roadwork for Nov. 25 through Dec. 1

PennDOT has announced the following road projects, which are weather-dependent and could affect residents in the greater Chadds Ford area during the week of Nov. 25 through Dec. 1. Motorists are urged to allow extra time if they are traveling through one of the construction zones.

• Road widening will cause lane restrictions on southbound Route 202 at Pyle Road in Concord Township through Nov. 29.

• Reconstruction and road widening will cause periodic lane restrictions on the Conchester Highway between Route 1 and Foulk Road, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. beginning Nov. 27 through Dec. 2.

• Between Nov. 27 and Dec. 1, sweeping and inlet cleaning will cause overnight shoulder closures — midnight to 8 a.m. — on Route 202 northbound between Brinton’s Bridge Road and Route 422.

• Motorists will encounter lane restrictions on S. Union Street, between Meadowview and Hillman roads in Kennett Township from Nov. 27 through Dec. 8 because of utility installation.

• Drivers will experience slow moving traffic on various streets in Kennett, New Garden, Caln, West Goshen, Charlestown, Schuylkill and Tredyffrin townships because of line painting between Nov. 27 and Dec. 1.

• Curb and sidewalk installation will cause lane closures on West Baltimore Pike between Penns Manor Road and Mill Street in Kennett Township from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. through the end of the year.

• Curb and sidewalk installation will cause lane closures on West Cypress Street Between Scarlett Road and Mill Street in Kennett Township from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. through the end of the year.

• Curb and sidewalk installation will also cause lane closures on Rosedale Road between Walnut Street and MacFarlan Road through the end of the year.

• Barrier installation continues to cause indefinite 24-hour lane closures on Brandywine Creek Road, between Green Valley and Powell roads in Newlin Township.
