The following animals are ready to be adopted from the Brandywine Valley SPCA in West Chester.

Catrina

Catrina

Catrina has quite a story! She is a 1-year-old who was evacuated after the New Castle Fire tragedy in early July. She’s one of our longest residents, and a staff favorite. She is a beautiful, shy cat who needs love and attention after all of the changes she’s endured. Catrina would do well in a quiet home with an experienced cat owner and older children. But don’t let her shy temperament fool you, she has a lot of love to give! Catrina’s adoption fee is “pay what you want” through Sunday, Aug. 6.

Creamsicle

Creamsicle

Creamsicle will surely be a family’s sweet summer treat. This adorable five-year old has had some bumpy times, yet he remains sweet and loving despite his hardships. He arrived at our New Castle Campus as a rail-thin stray with a story he couldn’t tell, then that facility was struck by fire the following day. He moved to the West Chester Campus, where he’s recovered and is starting to gain weight. Creamsicle would make a great family dog and companion. He’d be open to meeting other dogs in a home, and he should do well in a family with kids five and up. Who will welcome this cool dog on a hot summer day? Creamsicle’s adoption fee is “pay what you want” through Sunday, Aug. 6.
