Roadwork for April 1 through April 6

PennDOT has announced the following road projects, which are weather-dependent and could affect residents in the greater Chadds Ford area during the week of April 1 through April 6. Motorists are urged to allow extra time if they are traveling through one of the construction zones.

• There will be lane closures on East Marshal Street between N. Franklin Street and Montgomery Avenue in West Chester between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. for utility installation through April 7.

• Tree removal will cause lane closures on Newark Road between Airport Way and Rosehill Lane in New Garden Township from 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. on April 6.

• Through April 7, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., motorists will encounter lane restrictions on the Conchester Highway between Route 1 and Evergreen Drive.

• There will also be periodic lane restrictions on Route 322 between Route 1 and Clayton Park Drive through Oct. 20 as part of the reconstruction and road widening of Route 322.

• Green Valley Road, between Powell and Brandywine Creek roads, in Newlin Township, remains closed for bridge repair. Detours are posted.

• Route 82 in East Fallowfield Township, between Valley and Strasburg roads, remains closed for bridge rehabilitation through June 21.
