Have you heard the saying, “Cats have nine lives?” When my fosters first picked me up to give me at-home care, that’s all they could think about. I came to BVSPCA as a stray in rough shape from living on the streets for a bit. I am approximately14 years old. What was my life like before? They know that I responded well to tender loving care. Slowly and surely, I regained my strength and muscle tone. I even will chase balls and feathers on string, and I sure love catnip! I would do best with a compassionate, experienced cat owner who is sensitive to the needs and special gifts of a senior animal. I pick and choose the times when I need attention. My foster family said fostering me has been a blessing in their lives. I’ve taught them a lot about what it means to care for animals no matter what their age.

Snickerdoodle

Hello friends! My name is Snickerdoodle and I am a spayed female, 4-year-old brown and white tabby. I was a stray who arrived at the shelter on Dec.10. I am FIVpositive so I need to be an only cat or with other FIV positive cats. I am a volunteer favorite, and a lap cat who loves to be petted. I am low-key, quiet, and gentle so I would probably be more at ease in a quieter home rather than an active, high-energy home. Thinking of adopting? Hi. My name is Pride, and I came to the Brandywine Valley SPCA after I was found wandering the train tracks. I prefer to be the only animal in the house, and I would need to be in a home with older children. I love fetching tennis balls and running around in the play yard. I also love crawling onto laps to get belly rubs and chillin’ in the sunlight. I’m just a big guy who is a sweetheart waiting for some love. I am neutered, up-to-date on all of my vaccinations, and microchipped. I can’t wait to meet you to become a part of your forever family.

Hello there! My name is Micah, and I was brought to the shelter after my owners had to surrender me. I’m a high-energy 2-year-old mixed breed who gets along with most dogs, so be sure to bring them in to meet me! I love running around and playing with squeaky balls in the play yard. Greetings, my name is Hemmingway. I’m a handsome, 8-year-old, well behaved feline who is a bit of an enigma as a cat. I’m shy but crave attention. I’m a special boy…I am a polydactyl. I have thumbs and it is just the cutest thing. I hope someone comes to meet me soon because I know I am ready for a home. I have been such a good boy in the shelter, someone is sure to notice me soon! I’m neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated so I am all set!
