• Victory Brewing Company is starting the new year on a deliberately sour note. Victory is introducing an extremely limited run of their new Sour Monkey Remix. Sour Monkey, the tastefully tart twist on Victory’s most popular beer--the Belgian-style tripel Golden Monkey. Because of its popularity, Victory brought Sour Monkey back in 2016, but only for a season and only in 750 ml bottles. This year marks the first time for Sour Monkey’s availability in 12 ounce bottles. It will carry the same sour punch with an ABV of 9.5% to keep the party going. Available throughout Victory’s 35 state distribution footprint, Sour Monkey six packs retail at $11.99, depending on location. Victory operates three brewpubs: the original Downingtown site, Victory at Magnolia in Kennett Square and in Parkesburg.

• A new Rotary club is being formed in the Kennett Square area. Organizers will hold an informal pre-formation gathering of a New Rotary Club at 6 p.m. on Wednesday Jan. 18, at the Hilton Garden Inn, 815 E Baltimore Pike in Kennett Square, next to the Applebees. We will be in the open lounge/dining area just inside the Hilton Front Door. There is plenty of free parking and the parking lot entrance is right next to Route 1. The informal meeting is for those who want to learn more about Rotary and its activities both locally and globally and meet other potential new members. This New Rotary Club is a Rotary Satellite Club, hosted by six local clubs from Oxford, West Grove-Avondale, Kennett Square, Longwood, Chadds Ford-Concordville and Glen Mills-Thornbury.•
