The Victory Brewing Company's Parkesburg facility, the site of its Summer Love Fest, features a self-guided tour of the production process.

The Victory Brewing Company is offering a family-friendly outdoor event to celebrate the season: Summer Love Fest.

For Victory fans who have yet to visit the company’s Parkesburg facility – which features self-guided tours of its EPA-Green Power Partnership premises, a vast array that includes massive stainless steel tanks and intricate bottling and packaging operations – this event on Saturday, June 11, provides an ideal opportunity.

Victory will welcome craft beer fans to enjoy the countryside and celebrate longer, warmer, school-free days. While craft beer (including Summer Love Ale, back for its seventh season) will be flowing for adults, there will be plenty of seasonal treats like Victory ice cream, live music and fun and games that will assure the kids have fun.

Along with the brews, parents can participate in a laid-back style horseshoes competition or relax and listen to the mix of acoustic and country rock music played by three local bands. Children will also have activities galore to keep them entertained, including a moon bounce, a treasure hunt and face painting.

The festival will run from 1 to 6 p.m. Victory at Parkesburg, adding to the company’s 160,000-square-foot production facility, is the third brewpub for the national craft brewer that started in Downingtown and expanded to Kennett Square. In homage to its rural surroundings, the brewpub features several hitching posts in case members of the nearby Mennonite community care to visit.

The tour of the Parkesburg facility occurs on the mezzanine level and offers a series of instructional stations. Some are interactive, such as an opportunity to get a waft of hops. All provide a bird’s eye view of the production lines below. The Parkesburg facility is located at 3127 Lower Valley Road in Parkesburg.
