Police probing teen’s death in Kennett Twp.

Kennett Township Police are investigating the death of a 16-year-old male that is not deemed suspicious, according to a press release issued on Wednesday, Dec. 23.

On Tuesday, Dec. 22, at 12:56 a.m., Kennett Township Police responded to the 100 block of  Chandler Mill Road  for an unresponsive subject, who had been found by a family member. Police officers, along with personnel from Kennett Square EMS and Longwood EMS, provided medical aid to the victim, identified as a 16-year-old Hispanic male, the release said.

The victim was transported to Jennersville Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The cause of death remains undetermined and is currently under investigation by the Chester County Coroner’s Office.

Police said the death did not appear to involve suspicious circumstances and also remains under investigation by the Kennett Township Police Department, the release said.
