Four charged in New Garden assault

On Friday Oct. 30, at approximately 2:11 p.m., New Garden Township Police officers responded to an assault that occurred in the 200 block of Thompson Road.

The victim, a white male, 19 years of age, said he was lured into a residence in the 200 block of Thompson Road and attacked by the suspects. Officers later learned that the incident was the result of a botched drug deal between the victim and four suspects. During the incident the suspects assaulted the victim and attempted to remove his wallet.

During the assault the victim sustained several lacerations to his face as wells as dental injuries. The victim received medical treatment from responding EMS and will require further treatment.

The suspects were charged with attempted robbery, conspiracy, simple assault, possession of a controlled substance, harassment, and disorderly conduct.

After arraignment the suspects were remanded to Chester County Prison in lieu of bail.
