Since exercise promotes good health, La Comunidad Hispana (LCH) is encouraging residents of the greater Kennett Square area to attend the Fifth Annual Get Up! Get Moving or ¡Vive tu vida!

On Saturday, Sept. 26, the organization’s free public festival will promote family physical activity and good nutrition for better health and wellness for people of all ages. Get Up! Get Moving! will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Anson B. Nixon Park, 100 Waterworks Drive, Kennett Square, Pa., 19348.

The family activities will include live music and dance performances, pony rides and bounce houses, sports clinics, a health walk, and juggling and Zumba sessions. It will also feature health screenings, free flu shots, community and health education tables, healthy snacks and the third annual fresh salsa-tasting contest.

Raffle prizes will include annual YMCA memberships, gift certificates to local restaurants, retail, and entertainment.  Those who pre-register before the event will be entered into an exclusive grand prize drawing for bikes, YMCA membership, Fit Bit watch, cooking set, and a gas grill.
