On Friday, Sept. 4, at approximately 11:13 p.m., the McDonald’s restaurant on Route 202 in Chadds Ford Township was robbed at gunpoint. State police describe the suspect as a black male wearing a grey sweatshirt, a ski mask with a skull face, dark-colored pants, and white sneakers. The suspect gave the store manager a black and green duffle bag and ordered him to fill it with the money from the register and safe. The suspect appeared familiar with the restaurant and with the location of the safe. The suspect arrived at the McDonald’s at approx. 10:40 p.m. and hid in a restroom until at 11:13 when he exited and committed the robbery. The suspect stole approximately $2,000 and fled on foot across Route 202 toward a Wyndham Hotel. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Tpr. Martin Wiley at 480-840-1000.
