Traffic on northbound Route 202 approaching Dilworthtown Road was backed up for a few hours this morning following a fuel spill.

According to Chadds Ford Township Supervisor Samantha Reiner, the first Chadds Ford responder, a Rick’s Tree Service truck rear-ended a Brandywine Fuel truck carrying 2,800 gallons of diesel fuel. The accident caused a spill of about 200-300 gallons.

No one was injured in the accident that took place about 7:45 a.m., but both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.

The accident happened at the northern driveway of the West Chester Audi dealership currently under construction, just south of the Wawa.
