Salon Sestra opens in Olde Ridge

Salon Sestra, the new salon at Olde Ridge Village, is aptly named. “Sestra” means sister in several Eastern European languages, including Czech, Russian and Ukrainian. And the new salon is owned and operated by two sisters, Kristin Totoro and Nikki Talarovich.

Sisters Kristin Totoro, standing, and Nikki Talarovich are the owners and operators of Salon Sestra, which opened June 16 in Olde Ridge Village.

Talarovich is the stylist and has 14 years in the salon industry. Totoro has a background in business, specifically in customer service and sales, as well as having been a personal trainer and a field hockey coach.

The sestras chose Olde Ridge for their venture because it’s “an awesome location,” Totoro said.

Talarovich called it a great location, saying, “There’s so much around it that will bring in business.”
