Pocopson supervisors reject dedication offer

The third time did not prove to be the charm for Toll Brothers at a meeting of the Pocopson Township Supervisors on Friday, Jan. 30.

The developer had submitted an offer of dedication for the Preserve at Chadds Ford, formerly known as Corinne Village, a 64-home subdivision near the intersection of Corinne and Locust Grove Roads. The supervisors voted to reject the offer, echoing the Dec. 15 meeting when the second offer appeared on the agenda.

Township officials said sewage consultants agreed that more work needed to be done at the subdivision’s wastewater treatment plant. Township secretary Susan Simone said she expected the offer of dedication would be repeated in the spring.

The 4 p.m. meeting, which also included routine approval of treasurer’s warrants, replaced the regularly scheduled Jan. 26 meeting, which was canceled due to weather. The next township meeting will be Monday, Feb. 9, at 7:30 p.m. in the township building.
